Acrylic sheet, or Perspex - which is a particular brand name of Acrylic Sheet - is an outstanding product that offers optical clarity, impact and weather resistance, is ideal for the glazing, signage, point of sale promotions, business card holders, menu and display holders.

 

We have Acrylic Sheets available in a full range of thicknesses, sheet sizes, colours and tints. These include clear, opal, colours and mirror in 2mm, 3mm, 4.5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 15mm thick.

Full Perspex sheets range from:

We also stock Mild and High Impact Acrylic in Clear and Opal.

Gallery Grade Acrylic is another of our stocked items, for that extra special framing display. 100% UV and 100% UV with anti-glare Plexiglas.

We also have a Prismatic Acrylic Diffuser available in various stock sizes and cut to the size needed. The material comes in four patterns for light and skylights. We have a full range of Perspex sheeting to choose from for your particular project or need.

At General Plastic we have Aluminium Composite Panels which are used for cladding factories and showrooms giving a modern, new look. Composite panels are also widely used in the sign industry as it is lighter than flat, rigid sheeting.

 

AluCOMP has a three-layer composition with the top and bottom layers aluminium sheet and the centre core a low-density polyethylene. The paint finish is a high strength polyester coating which is acid, alkali and solvent resistant. These come in a range of colours which cut down on production time and being a light, rigid panel, installation time is reduced.

 

Aluminium Composite panels can be easily rolled, curved and fabricated and if corner angles are needed, panels can be routered to allow it to bend to the right angles.

POLYCARBONATE

  • MR10 Abrasion Resistant Polycarbonate - Ideal for Balustrades, Security Panels or High Traffic Areas that need to stand-up to constant handling.

  • MRA3 Polycarbonate - High impact resistance and excellent abrasion resistance. Suits indoors where it's not exposed to UV light. Suits correctional services, Banks, Hospitals, Transportation and Schools.

  • Polycarbonate Tube - Tough and easy to handle. Suitable for site glass application.

Polycarbonate is an ideal general-purpose plastic which can be used for everyday use where exposure to outdoor conditions is minimal. At General Plastic we have Polycarbonate sheets available in clear, opal and tint and are UV protected.

 

Polycarbonate sheeting can be thermoformed or cold formed and its impact resistance makes it ideal for the building, marine, security and transport industries. It is suitable for louvers, windows partitions, safety guards, sneeze guards and screens.

 

It is a great general purpose material as the sheets are ultraviolet protected and hard coated with grades in clear and opal as well as tints.

POLYPROPYLENE

  • Polypropylene Sheets.

Polypropylene sheets are an extremely hard plastic which can tolerate harsh chemicals and high temperatures proving to be excellent in areas where corrosive chemicals are used.

 

We have a range of Polypropylene products available in clear, opal and tint - all are UV protected. Polypropylene is used in the mining, laboratory, automotive, galvanising, electro-plating industries as well as educational facilities.

 

Our Polypropylene Flute (Coreflute) twin wall is available in white, black, red, yellow and blue in 3mm, 3.3mm and 5mm thick in various sheet sizes.

Polypropylene/ Polyethylene sheets and blocks are available in a range of density and thickness with colours including natural, black or grey. Recycled sheet products are available for lining and construction use from 1mm up in thickness.

We also stock white Flame Retardant Polypropylene Sheets which is used in the construction and fabrication of Laboratory Workstations, Fume Cupboards, Acid Tanks and Dust Extraction Ducting.

POLYSTYRENE

  • Expanded Polystyrene Foam - Used for Architectual Models & Sinage. Available in 7 grades VH to recycled latter computer cut. All available with different urethane coatings for withstanding weather.

  • High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) - Used in toys and product castings. This is available in white and black in 0.5mm to 3mm thick in three sheet sizes.

  • Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS Plastic) - Similar to HIPS and is often used for electronics in the maritime and automotive industries.

Polystyrene is one of the most widely used plastics due to its affordability, ease of processing, and broad range of applications. Available in both solid and foam forms, polystyrene offers unique characteristics that make it suitable for everything from packaging to construction.

 

We offer a full range of Polystyrene products suitable for domestic and industrial applications, including Polyurethane Foam which has a variable density for floatation and void and moulding applications.

PVC

  • PVC Matting - For Strip Curtains, Swing Doors, Tubing, Chain, Workplace, Freezer, Cool room, Automotive and Applications.

  • Full PVC Sheets - Non-corrosive chemical resistant material ideal for electrical switchboard covers, fume ducting, photographic and chemical dipping troughs, acid neutraliser tank, plumbing fittings.

  • Flexible PVC Sheets - Film PVC blinds have excellent optical clarity for safe two-way traffic and can be adapted as a fixed hinge door or applied in strip form over doorways. Suited for food/retail markets, shopping centres, hotels, hospitals and boats.

  • PVC Celuka Foam Board - Ideal material to replace some timbers. Light weight and water resistant widely used in the graphics and building industry.

  • PVC Foamex/ Forex - A rigid, compressed foam PVC sheeting available in several bright colours. PVC foam is ideal to silk screen, airbrush, hand paint or apply vinyl graphics. Suits display boards, signage or portable display stands.
